Free Game: X-COM: UFO Defense (for Windows XP)

If there is a world record to how many times players saved, then loaded a file within a game, X-COM: UFO Defense would get a shiny green ribbon in the mail. A soldier stub his toe? LOAD! Alien craft get away? LOAD! Get a legion of terrible aliens in a town? LOAD!
Ah, the power!
No matter how many times I’ve had this game in my clutches, I’ve always ended up trying to find it again for some reason. I know there are alot of us who have had this game abducted from us in the night — no more! Now it’s here and we never have to wonder where to find it again.

Yeah it should be cool — it was released as freeware as a “gold” edition a little while back: http://www.xcomufo.com/. Then someone who loved X-COM but hated DOS hooked up a patch for it so it’d work in WinXP.
Don’t know why anyone would buy it off Steam — unless they just haven’t heard about the freeware version. It’s the exact same thing, lol.
Thats correct it isnt available legally for free.But i can download it as ive the original micropose boxed copy sat here lol.
Game doesnt work,is unstable on save games and into march/april will not continue running at all and crashes to windows.Buy an original if possible.Or try steam.
Poopy. :< I used to play this all the time with my old monitor… but now that I’ve got a new widescreen, flatscreen LCD my monitor just shows Out Of Range, and if I change the setting then I can’ tuse the monitor at all… I am sad. u.u
