ascii street fighter video Video: ASCII Street Fighter

In many ways this ASCII Street Fighter is a way bigger deal than most of the Street Fighters pumped from Capcom’s notorius sequel factory over the decades.

So much so, that this game made me ponder the following minor irony in the alchemic pseudoscience of Media: Gamers know that when a game is more fun to watch than to play, generally what you end up with is absolute crap. But when a game is more entertaining to simply know about than to interact with, then, strangely, you know you have pure gold. If there could be a game that would possibly fit this upside-down bill, then this bit of digital wizardry must be it.

However, no matter how good Cammy looks in ASCII, I think I’ll wait for the sequel.
